Xbox 360 Revealed!!!

Filed under: Xbox - Last Dojo @ 1:06 am

Here’s the final version of Xbox 360 inspired by the floating blue orb better known as the 343 Guilty Spark in Halo. I’m kidding, this is just an artist rendition, but a really good one I must say. The artist is Rune Larsen from Norway made using 3ds max.
Some known details about the Xbox 360:
1. The device will be able to stand upright or on it’s side.
2. It will feature an oversized, back-lit power button.
3. Probably not include a Blu-Ray or HD drive. (Keeping costs down with faster production)
4. Halo 2.5 at launch? (With a proper ending…)
5. Wireless controllers.
6. Autumn 2005. (tentative)

Texas Revolution XI: Red vs Blue

Filed under: General - Last Dojo @ 3:52 am

What do you get when you cross Paintball and Halo, you get Texas Revolution XI: Red vs Blue. This event is to be celebrated on April 8th-10th at a 60-acre facility in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The team of Viper Paintball joins the team of Red Vs. Blue for a new type of gaming called Viper RTS. This is type of gaming is interesting, your commander, is the one who decides how and when you’re going to approach an objective, instead of a game director, with the Red Vs. Blue guys to provide commanders for the teams. Also, everthing is tracked by computers, cool stuff. $45 dollars to join.

Stir Fry Banana with Noodles

Filed under: Warriors - Last Dojo @ 4:41 am

Just wanted to give a shout out to my fellow warriors in arms, Noodles and Banana, who gave it their all during a system link slayer battle. Especially Noodles, who had never played the game before, and adapted pretty quick. You guys fought well even though you had to share half a screen. As a small tribute I made this visual representation of your names, hope you like it.

Inspiration

Filed under: Insight - Last Dojo @ 3:36 am

Just a little inspiration from Sun Tzu (The Art Of War):

Generally in warfare:

If ten times the enemy’s strength, surround them;

if five times, attack them;

if double, divide them;

if equal, be able to fight them;

if fewer, be able to evade them;

if weaker, be able to avoid them.

Leaving Already?

Filed under: General - Last Dojo @ 1:04 am

Unless you have to, don’t leave a game before it’s finished on Live because:

1) It causes an imbalance and gives an advantage to the opposing team.

2) It counts as a loss for the player that leaves.

3) Causes latency problems for the other players who have to wait a while until the game sets up again (this especially happens when 2 or more players leave at the same time.)

4) Makes you look like a coward! Common people, stick it out till the end, you never know what’ll happen.

Teamwork

Filed under: Strategy - Last Dojo @ 10:35 pm

Teamwork is key. The most important aspect of playing certain game types (Team Slayer, CTF, Assault, etc.) is teamwork and how the team manages the situation. A team of 2 organized players can defeat a disorganized team of 6.

- Always have some of your teammates get to the powerful weapons first (Rocket Launcher, Sword, Sniper Rifle) before the other team.

- When on the defense, remember to leave somebody guarding the base (This applies to CTF, Assault, etc.)

Respect

In Sun Tzu’s “The Art Of War,” written more than 2000 years ago, probably the most famous work of formalized concepts and principles of war and military strategy ever written. The Art of War teaches the science of strategy, shows us how to think about challenges in a new way, advancing our position to make success inevitable. This strategy that is still applicable today and I like to believe that it does so in Halo 2, where multiplayer wafare is exemplified. With this blog, I hope to share some of my strategy wisdom and hopefully help me and you become a better player. Welcome to my Blog, so says Last Dojo.
